Nawab Shah, Biography, Age And Acting Career

Nawab Shah is a well known Indian actor who worked in various Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil films. His notable works include Don 2 and Tour Zinda Hai. Not to forget, Nawab Shah was already famously known for his roles in different television series. He was always into acting. Nawab Shah was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

He made his debut in the movie Raja ko Rani Se Pyar ho Gaya. His work went unnoticed. His next movie Be-legal was a super flop at the box office. Nawab Shah for acknowledgement through his work in the movie “Escape From Taliban.” This was his go move. Since then, he was known as a great actor in the Bollywood industry.

Even during interviews, Nawab Shah keeps the information about his mother, father or any other family member hidden. He never revealed any names. The only person we know belongs to his life is Pooja Batra. Nawab Shah had attended school in Bandra, Maharashtra and completed his undergraduate course in Bachelor of Arts in History from a university of Mumbai. Nawab Shah had a bad past with people and it was mostly because of his religion. He told in an interview that his first relationship was ruined because of this caste thing and he also had bad relation experiences because everyone judged him for being a Muslim.

Nawab Shah appeared in various Hindi movies including Kartoos in 1999, Sarfarosh in 1999, Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya in 2000, Escape From Taliban in 2003, Musafir in 2004, Lakshya in 2004, Jaan-E-Mann in 2006, Luck in 2009, Don 2 in 2011 as Abdul Jabbar, Bhaag, Milkha Bhaag in 2013, Humshakals in 2014, Dilwale in 2015, Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017 as Pawan

Along with the Hindi movies, Shah was a star in Tamil film industry too. His Tamil works include Gajendra in 2004, Bose in 2004, Yaan in 2014, Seema Raja in 2018, Darbar in 2020

He then worked in Telugu films. Some of the Telugu movies of Nawab Shah are Devi Putrudu in 2001, Dictator in 2016

He also worked in a few Malayalam movies- Keerthi Chakra in 2006 as Main Antagonist, Kaakki in 2007 as Parthipan in Main Antagonist, Roudram in 2008, Black Dalia in 2009, Rajadhi Raja in 2014 as Gangster Sathya, Inspector Garudin 2007 as Guptaji in Antagonist, Kannada, Kotigobba 3 is his upcoming film releasing in 2019.

Before entering the Bollywood film industry, Nawab Shah was well known for him to role-play as different characters in various TV series. Some of his best TV series are- Shaktimaan in 1997-2005 as Mayor JJ in Jai Kumar Janardhan/Kakodar, Indian in 2000-2001 as Indian, Saarrthi in 2004-2008 as Mansen Goenka, Amma in 2016 as Haider, Nagarjuna – Ek Yoddha in 2016-2017 as S. P. Baldev Singh

Lastly, he had worked in a major Netflix original web series, Sacred Games in 2018 as Salim Kaka.

Personal Life – Marriage

Earlier, Nawab Shah was in a relationship with an actress Kavita Kaushik. The couple was too much involved in their relationship and wanted to get married but Kavita’s parents didn’t approve this relationship since Shah was a Muslim. He met Poona Batra and fell in love with her.

Nawab Shah revealed his relationship with Pooja Batra, a former actress and divorcee in June 2019. Soon the couple got married on July 4. Both Nawab Shah and Pooja Batra look really happy together. Seems like they were destined to be together. Recently, Pooja Batra posted some of the pictures of their vacation in which she is wearing a red bikini and Nawab Shah is wearing only boxers. The pic got viral in no time.

Not only on this vacation but Nawab Shah and Pooja Batra always keep posting pictures of themselves. The newlyweds look way younger than their original ages. Seems like they are on a never-ending honeymoon.

The couple got married in an intimate Arya Samaj ritual wedding.

Pooja Batra is a divorcee who is also known for her roles in 90s Bollywood movies. Pooja had a terrific married life that she came out after 8 years and now, they are happy together.

Their marriage was a sector until Pooja confirmed the rumours during an interview by saying “Yes, we are married. Nawab and I exchanged vows in Delhi, with only our families in attendance. Our loved ones kept asking us why we were delaying it (the marriage). I was simply going with the flow, but then I realised that he is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with, and there is no point in delaying it any further. So, here we are. We had an Arya Samaj wedding, and we will register our marriage this week.”


Clearly, it was difficult to accept the fact that the couple (Pooja Batra and Nawab Shah) had been dating since we Indians judge everyone over age and caste. When rumours of the couple dating each other came out, Nawab Shah clearly ignored it and acted like there was nothing between them. This made the public go lala and they all started wondering if Nawab Shah is using Pooja Batra or if it’s vice versa. Nawab Shah got really angry at this and that’s when he decided to marry the love of his life, Pooja Batra. The couple secretly got married on 4th of July 2019. It was a low-key wedding according to Arya Samaj traditions.
