Actor and writer, Parzaan Dastur, needs no introduction. Making his way into a successful acting career with his famous role as the silent Sikh in one of Bollywood’s best blockbuster films, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dastar had been in the spotlight since his childhood. Working in many commercial ads, his most famous placing him as the cute child in the Dhara advertisement, the mumbai-born individual holds close to many in the country. Parzaan Dastur Career Details

The silent Sikh kid famous for his dialogue that melted the hearts of millions, “Tussi Jaa Rahe Ho, Tussi Na Jao”, Dastur made his debut in Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. Appearing in other movies such as Mohabbatein in 2001 and then Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham later that year, he held a special place in the hearts of many Indian for his heart-filled adorable performances. A few years down the line in 2005, he played Parzan in Rahul Dholakia’s Parzania, in which he enacted a young boy from a Parsi family who loses his way from his loved ones in the midst of communal riots in Gujarat in 2002. As a critically acclaimed film that won multiple awards including the National Film Award for Best Direction, Parzania once again putting the then fifteen year old on an acting pedestal even higher than his previous endeavors. Taking it a step higher, he then played the male lead in Sikandar, a 2009 film directed by Piyush Jha, as a boy who aspired to be a footballer, but then turns his life upside down when he falls into the trap of a political conflict.


 After many years in the field, the actor later pursued an interest in a producing and script-writing, in which he co-produced and released a short film with his friend, Nitesh Ranglani, who directed the film called Pocket Mummy. Staring famous actress Madhoo Shah in the pivotal role of his film, the mumbai-born talent made quite the talk in the industry. In an interview with IANS, when asked why Parzaan Dastur had chosen Shah to be a part of his debut, he responds with, “She is a perfect fit for a film like this. Being an independent working woman as well as a mother makes her the ideal role model for women in our country.” The child artiste had once again outdone himself, in various departments now.


Although he doesn’t have any immediate plans of returning to the screens, Dastur still remains in contact with his co stars from when he was still in the field. One of those including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’s every own, Sana Saeed who essayed the role of Shahrukh Khan’s little angel, Anjali. Reunited on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of one of Bollywood’s most memorable movies, these overnight sensations broke the internet with just a picture. With their latest picture in which they were seen all grown up and ready to enter the real world, fans everywhere echoed nostalgic feels all throughout.
